What we keep

Your name, email and mailing address; who charged you, the amount, the date, how you paid and any reference number you give us; what you tell us happened; the letters we write for you; what you tell us happened after each one; and a record of our emails to you and of your payments.

Your bill

A photo, screenshot or PDF of your bill is used only to write your first letter. We delete it as soon as that letter is written. If the letter cannot be written, we keep the bill only until it can be, and delete it then.

Why

Only to write your letters, show your case on your private page, remind you when a date comes, and run the service. We do not sell anyone's information. We do not use your case, your bill or your letters to train AI models.

Who sees it

You, and anyone you share your private link with. Staff at Fight That Fee may look at a case only to fix a problem or answer a question. Service providers handle parts of the work under their own privacy terms: payments (Stripe), the AI service that reads your bill and writes your letters, email, hosting and databases, and our contact form.

The private link

Your case page has no password. The link in your email is the key. Anyone who has it can read your case, so keep it to yourself. If it leaks, write to us and we will issue a new one.

Reminders

We email you when a date you were given comes, and once more three days later. That is all, at most two reminders for each letter. You can turn them off from your case page at any time, or close the case.

Analytics

On our public pages (home, guides, privacy, terms and contact) we use Google Analytics and Plausible to count visits and see which pages are used. They receive the page address without any query string, your browser and device type, and an approximate location. Plausible uses no cookies; Google Analytics may set cookies. Advertising features and ad personalization are turned off. Your case page, the form where you describe your charge, and everything you type there are never sent to either tool.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your case and everything in it by writing to info@fightthatfee.com. You can stop reminders and close your case yourself at any time.

Keeping and deleting

We keep your case for as long as it is open and for a reasonable time after, in case you come back. We keep basic records of payments for as long as the law or a dispute may require.

Security

Data is stored with a reputable cloud host and sent over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise it.
